How Does Styling Work?

30 Days Before Your Session:

You will receive an email and link to my women’s client closet and children’s client closet. To get started browse through each gallery, where options are sorted by size. Please select up to five options per person, screenshot/download them, and email or text them to me. You may also opt to have outfits chosen for you, by simply responding to the email with your sizes and color preferences.

Three Weeks Before Your Session:

Contact me as soon as possible to confirm your selections. You may also reach out for a try-on. Please note that my availability for try-ons is limited in the fall, and these take place at my home office in Plymouth.

On Your Session Day:

Your selections will be ready for you when you arrive! A dressing tent will be available for you to change into/out of your dress. I take care of all the cleaning!

Read what clients are saying about the client closet:

Ann Marie is so pleasant and wonderful to work with. I loved not having to worry about what to wear for myself and baby, and her clothing options were beautiful and size inclusive. She is so thoughtful and makes the photo session a breeze, really focusing on the natural interactions with your partner and baby.

What’s In The Client Closet?

I have worked to build a closet to fit every woman! Sizes range from size XS to 3X for women, and children’s sizes from 3 months to size 12 for girls, and up to a size 3T for boys.

Where to Shop

To simplify men’s styling, I have created a men’s styling guide! Here, you will find examples of the types of clothes I recommend, with links to make things simple if you see something you love! Like always, if you want to run any options by me, please feel free to reach out!

What about my boys?

My closet for boys stops at size 3, so here’s a handy guide with some examples of outfits for your boys! My favorite pieces will always be non-denim overalls, they look great in photos every time. Henley tops, linen pieces, and brown shorts/pants are all great places to start! My favorite places to shop for boys’ clothes are also listed in this guide. These shops should all have options in the colors that will work best with my style! Have any questions or want to run options by me? Shoot my assistant Maya an email at maya@amg-photos.com!

Styling Tips to Follow

Do: Choose Colors that compliment one another

Don’t be “matchy” or wear the same color!

One Pattern is Good!: Choose one outfit with a pattern and the other outfits compliment colors pulled from that pattern

Color Choice Matters: Wear Earth Toned colors! They are timeless, flattering for all, and correspond with my editing style. Avoid bright colors, stark whites. blacks, magentas, or dark navy blues.

Add Texture: Layers or sweaters, shawls, and scarves add visual interest

Nail Color: Choose natural nail color for toes and hands. No bright colors!

Shoes: Wear something comfortable! No heals for women! Opt for a brown boot or shoe for all.
